Overview

  • The run took place on August 8, 2025 at Germany’s ATP Automotive Testing Papenburg with professional driver Marc Basseng at the wheel.
  • The recorded speed surpasses the Rimac Nevera R’s 431.45 km/h mark reported in July 2025, establishing a new benchmark for electric vehicles.
  • BYD cites four 744 hp motors for a combined output of over 2,960 hp and an approximate power-to-weight ratio near 1,200 hp per tonne.
  • Control systems included advanced torque vectoring, DiSus-X intelligent body control and a mass-produced 1200V architecture supported by enhanced thermal management.
  • The attempt used bespoke Giti semi-slick tyres, and the car displayed track-focused aerodynamic tweaks noted during the run.
