BYD Unveils Compact ATTO 2 SUV for European Market

The ATTO 2, equipped with BYD's Blade Battery technology, will launch in February, targeting the competitive B-SUV segment in Europe and the UK.

The BYD ATTO 2, a rebranded version of the Yuan Up, was introduced at the Brussels Motor Show and will go on sale in Europe and the UK starting February 2025.
The compact SUV features BYD's proprietary Blade Battery and Cell-to-Body (CTB) construction, enhancing space efficiency and vehicle rigidity.
Initial models will include a 45.1 kWh battery with a WLTP range of 312 km (194 miles), with a larger battery option expected in the coming months for extended range.
The ATTO 2 is positioned between the BYD Dolphin and ATTO 3 in terms of pricing, with an anticipated starting price under £30,000 in the UK.
The vehicle will compete in the B-SUV segment against models like the Peugeot e-2008, Kia EV3, and Renault R4, as BYD continues its European expansion despite increased tariffs on Chinese-built EVs.
