BYD Surpasses Tesla in Revenue Amid Record Sales and Massive Hiring Spree

BYD has hired over 200,000 employees to boost production as it sets new sales records and outpaces Tesla in quarterly revenue.

BYD sold a record 1.1 million new energy vehicles in the third quarter, leading to a net income of $1.6 billion on $28.2 billion in revenue.
The company hired nearly 200,000 new employees between August and October to support increased production demands.
BYD's October sales hit 500,526 units, marking a 66.2% year-over-year increase, while Tesla's China-made vehicle sales fell 5.3% from the previous year.
Despite higher revenue, BYD's net profit remains lower than Tesla's, with Tesla reporting a net income of $2.167 billion for the third quarter.
BYD continues to expand globally, with new manufacturing plants planned in regions like Southeast Asia, Europe, and South America.
