BYD Partners with DJI to Integrate Drone into Luxury SUV

The drone, housed in a dock on the vehicle's roof, can autonomously track the vehicle and provide aerial views.

Chinese EV maker BYD has partnered with drone manufacturer DJI to integrate a drone into its YangWang U8 luxury electric SUV.
The drone, a modified DJI Mavic 3 Pro, is housed in a dock on the roof of the vehicle and can be launched on demand.
The drone can autonomously track the vehicle, providing aerial views of the road ahead and capturing footage of the vehicle's journey.
The dock also includes a battery-swapping mechanism and three replacement batteries, which are charged from the vehicle's electrical system.
The drone's video feed can be viewed on the vehicle's infotainment system, and the drone can be controlled from there as well.
