Overview
- The new Atto 2 Comfort BEV raises official WLTP range to 430 km and increases peak DC charging to 150 kW, with a 204 hp motor and a switch to independent multi-link rear suspension.
- Two DM-i plug-in hybrids join the lineup: Active pairs a 7.8 kWh battery with about 40 km electric range and 166 hp, while Boost uses an 18 kWh pack for about 90 km electric range and 212 hp.
- BYD says its Super DM-i series-parallel setup keeps the car in electric drive in most use cases, with a 1.5-litre Atkinson-cycle Xiaoyun engine (claimed up to 43% efficiency) generating power or driving the front wheels via an intelligent clutch.
- The Boost variant adds a 6.6 kW onboard charger and vehicle-to-load capability, and with a 45-litre tank BYD claims roughly 1,000 km of combined driving range between charges and refueling.
- Spanish pricing with incentives is reported at €20,990 for the Comfort BEV, €18,190 for the Active PHEV and €20,190 for the Boost, with features including a 12.8-inch rotating screen, an AI voice assistant, a central front airbag and a six-year warranty.
