Overview

• A 39-year-old man identified as Ramel Fisher was shot in the abdomen on Putnam Avenue around 10 p.m. Monday and died at Brookdale Hospital shortly after.
• A 63-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the eye and remains in stable condition.
• NYPD detectives recovered ballistics at the scene and reported that no witnesses have come forward as of Tuesday morning.
• No arrests have been made and police are urging residents with any information to contact the 83rd Precinct.
• The incident produced the eighth and ninth shooting victims and represents the seventh shooting incident in the precinct this year, a significant increase from two victims and incidents by this time last year.
