- The 10-day event opened Sept. 17 at the Busan Cinema Center with Park Chan-wook’s No Other Choice leading the program through Sept. 26.
- BIFF’s first competition features 14 films, including 10 world premieres, with prizes for Best Film, Director, Actor/Actress, Special Jury and Artistic Contribution under a jury chaired by Na Hong-jin; the Best Film winner will close the festival.
