Burning Man Homicide Victim Identified as Vadim Kruglov as Search for Suspect Continues

Investigators say the remote, temporary city has limited evidence to collect, prompting an urgent appeal for witnesses.

Overview

  • Deputies responded around 9:14 p.m. to reports of a man lying in a pool of blood near 8:30 and I streets as the wooden effigy burned.
  • Authorities are treating the death as a homicide, have not released the cause, and have not identified a suspect.
  • Pershing County deputies, BLM rangers, Washoe County forensic teams and Black Rock Rangers processed the scene and continue to seek tips from attendees.
