- Marlon Ferro, 20, was sentenced Wednesday to 78 months in federal prison, plus three years of supervised release and $2.5 million in restitution.
- Prosecutors said Ferro served as the group’s “instrument of last resort,” breaking into homes to steal hardware wallets when hacks and fake calls failed.
- In February 2024 he burglarized a home in Winnsboro, Texas, and took a hardware wallet holding about 100 Bitcoin, then worth more than $5 million.
- In July 2024 he staked out a New Mexico house and broke a window to search for a wallet after co-conspirators tracked the victim via iCloud, and he was recorded by home cameras.
