Burger King UK Launches £11 Wagyu Burger Backed by Gordon Ramsay

The limited-time sandwich uses British cross-bred wagyu from roughly 700 UK farms, with Deliveroo-only delivery until 22 September.

Overview

  • The Wagyu went on sale nationwide on 9 September as part of Burger King’s Gourmet Kings range, priced at £11 for the burger and around £13.50–£14.50 as a meal.
  • Ramsay fronts a tongue‑in‑cheek ‘Not Made By Gordon’ campaign and publicly praises the flavour, though he did not create the recipe.
  • Burger King says the beef comes from UK herds produced by crossing wagyu with British dairy cattle, with Yorkshire specialist Warrendale Wagyu named as a supplier.
  • The company has not disclosed the meat’s marbling grade and notes British wagyu is not assessed on Japan’s A1–A5 scale.
  • Early reviews are divided, with some testers noting a richer, creamier patty and others finding it dry for the price and questioning its value.
