The campaign was launched by Ford's daughter after a video of Ford sharing the modest gifts he received from Burger King for his dedication went viral on TikTok.
The GoFundMe campaign surpassed its original goal, raising nearly $450,000, which Ford used to purchase a house in Pahrump, Nevada.
Ford continues to work at the same Burger King location and plans to use the remaining funds for home renovations, helping his daughter buy a home, and for his retirement.
Ford has expressed his gratitude to all the donors, stating that the support from strangers not only provided him with a new home, but also saved his life.
