Burberry Unveils Claridge’s Holiday Takeover With 16-Foot Tree of 600 Upcycled Bows

The installation turns the Mayfair landmark into a seasonal showcase that fuses British heritage with material reuse.

Overview

  • Creative director Daniel Lee’s lobby tree rises 16 feet with more than 600 bows cut from surplus Burberry fabric, a gold crown topper, wild foliage and thistle, plus a base staged with oversized chess pieces, cushions and blankets.
  • Hanging brass bells reference the Equestrian Knight motif, while handmade baubles by a British glassblower add to the tree’s craft details.
  • Claridge’s doormen are outfitted in Burberry check scarves, with the pattern appearing on room key holders and inside the seated lift’s sofa and cushions.
  • Claridge’s Bar serves a dedicated Burberry cocktail as holiday trolleys deliver sweets in check-patterned paper cones.
  • A ground-floor pop-up features a Scarf bar offering cashmere and silk twill options, and 300 hand-painted Claridge’s x Burberry baubles are available exclusively in the hotel shop.
