Overview
- Germany and Israel plan to sign the expanded contract in Germany on 18 December 2025, led by IMDO director Moshe Patel and BAAINBw chief Annette Lehnigk-Emden.
- The Israel Ministry of Defense and Germany’s defense ministry agreed to substantially increase production rates for Arrow 3 interceptors and launchers.
- The new funding supplements an initial Arrow 3 purchase of about $3.5 billion signed around two years ago.
- Arrow 3 is co-developed by Israel’s DDR&D with the U.S. Missile Defense Agency, with Israel Aerospace Industries as the prime contractor.
- The exo-atmospheric system is designed to intercept long-range ballistic threats with hypersonic performance to protect wide areas.
