Overview

  • The No. 1 jersey will be raised in a postgame ceremony at the United Center following the Bulls’ matchup with the Boston Celtics.
  • Rose will be the fifth Bull to have a number retired, joining Jerry Sloan, Bob Love, Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen.
  • Promotions include four collectible figurine giveaways: Nov. 4, 2025 vs. 76ers (Rookie of the Year), Dec. 17, 2025 vs. Cavaliers (face mask), Feb. 22, 2026 vs. Knicks (MVP), and Mar. 19, 2026 vs. Cavaliers (green jersey).
  • A team video showed Rose visibly emotional upon learning of the retirement, and LeBron James reacted on X with rose and applause emojis.
  • The No. 1 has gone unworn by Bulls players since Rose’s 2016 trade, and his résumé includes 2009 Rookie of the Year and the 2011 MVP as the youngest winner in league history.
