Former Linebackers Coach Steps Up to Fill Role Vacated by Leslie Frazier Last Season

Bobby Babich, previously the linebackers coach for the Buffalo Bills, has been promoted to the role of defensive coordinator.
Babich has been with the Bills since 2017, serving in various roles including assistant defensive backs coach and safeties coach.
During his tenure, Babich has been instrumental in the development of key defensive players such as safeties Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde, and linebackers Matt Milano and Terrel Bernard.
Babich's promotion fills a role left vacant last season after Leslie Frazier elected to take a year off from coaching, with head coach Sean McDermott taking over defensive play-calling duties.
It is currently unclear whether McDermott will retain play-calling duties or if those will go to Babich.
