Buenos Aires Sets Nov. 1 Public Opening for Obelisco Interior, Tickets on Sale

A new glass elevator, a private five-year concession and defined visit logistics open the 1936 monument to daily viewing for the first time.

Overview

  • Presale is live at miradorobelisco.com.ar, with timed-entry tickets priced at ARS 18,000 for Argentine residents and ARS 36,000 for foreign visitors.
  • Public visits begin Nov. 1 and run daily from 9:00 to 17:00, with an experience of about 20 minutes that includes time at the summit.
  • The glass elevator operates in 15-minute rotations for groups of up to four, with an emergency staircase installed and work carried out to preserve the historic structure.
  • Access for people with reduced mobility is not available due to the narrow base and summit, and severe weather may lead to rebooking subject to available dates.
  • The city awarded a five-year operations concession to the Andesmar temporary union, while Servas completed the installation works under contract.
