Buenos Aires Implements Holiday Service Schedule for July 9 Independence Day

The city has released detailed hours to ensure critical services such as hospitals, emergency units, remain available during closures of nonessential offices.

Overview

  • Public hospitals will operate only on emergency guard and critical area duty, with SAME and febrile-unit services running 24 hours.
  • Subte and PreMetro lines began first runs at 8 AM and end between 9 PM and 10 PM under a Sunday-holiday timetable while municipal buses follow a holiday schedule.
  • Metered parking is suspended citywide and toll booths charge weekend rates with peak pricing from 11 AM to 3 PM outbound and 5 PM to 9 PM inbound.
  • Municipal offices including Sedes Comunales, AGIP, Rentas and the Registro de Licencias are closed, and all schools and universities will not hold classes.
  • City museums open from 11 AM to 8 PM and outdoor spaces like the Jardín Botánico, Ecoparque and ecological reserves welcome visitors under adjusted hours.
