- Effective June 24, the City of Buenos Aires increased its mandatory VTV tariffs by 20%, setting rates at AR$63,453 for cars and AR$23,858 for motorcycles.
- The Province of Buenos Aires decided to freeze its VTV fees through the end of July, preserving preexisting rates across light vehicles, motorcycles and trailers.
- Exemptions in the city cover retirees, pensioners, low-income seniors and persons with disabilities for one vehicle, plus 0 km vehicles through three years or 60,000 km.
- Provincial exemptions include holders of the Certificado Único de Discapacidad, retirees and seniors with incomes under two minimum wages, municipal service vehicles and fire department units.
- Both jurisdictions require drivers to schedule online appointments and present valid DNI, a driver’s license, insurance, vehicle registration and title, and GNC certification when applicable.
