Overview
- CABA set its July VTV rates at ARS 63,453 for cars and ARS 23,858 for motorcycles after the 90-day freeze ended on July 5.
- Buenos Aires Province applied a 25.5% hike to its basic tariff, raising the VTV fee to ARS 79,640.87 under Resolution 188/2025 tied to CAVEA-SMATA wage scales.
- In CABA, vehicles under three years old or below 60,000 km (80,000 km for new cars) are exempt from the inspection, and fees are waived for low-income seniors, pensioners, CUD holders and emergency service vehicles.
- PBA’s exemptions cover vehicles with less than two years since patenting or 0 km autos before 24 months, plus fee waivers for pensioners, people with disabilities and municipal or fire service vehicles.
