Budweiser Stage Renamed RBC Amphitheatre as Live Nation Maps 2027–30 Overhaul

The project will convert the venue to year-round use as part of the Ontario Place redevelopment.

Overview

  • Live Nation announced a naming-rights deal with RBC running through 2038, rebranding the waterfront venue as RBC Amphitheatre.
  • The site will close in fall 2027, reopen in spring 2029 for outdoor shows, and debut full year-round operation by summer 2030.
  • Lawn capacity will grow by about 2,000 to 9,000, bringing warm‑weather capacity to 18,000 while preserving views of Toronto’s skyline.
  • A rebuilt roof with movable panels will create an enclosed space for winter concerts, accommodating roughly 9,000 people.
  • Upgrades include elevators and a lookout platform for accessible lawn access, a second pedestrian bridge, and expanded concessions, with a temporary replacement venue planned but not yet detailed.
