Buddy Holly Wins Best in Show at 147th Westminster Dog Show, First Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen to Claim Top Prize

Buddy Holly, a six-year-old petit basset griffon Vendéen from Palm Springs, California, was named Best in Show.
Buddy Holly beat six other finalists, including crowd favorites Winston the French bulldog and Rummie the Pekingese, to earn the prestigious title.
The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show is the second oldest continuously held sporting event in the U.S. and featured over 3,000 dogs from 210 breeds and varieties this year.
The show was held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, New York, for the first time this year due to the pandemic.
In addition to Best in Show, the event includes multiple competitions where mixed breed dogs are also invited to compete.
