'Buddha Boy' Arrested on Sexual Assault and Kidnapping Charges

Ram Bahadur Bomjan, known as 'Buddha Boy', has been arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a minor and involvement in the disappearance of at least four of his followers.
Bomjan, believed by many to be a reincarnation of Buddha, was arrested in Kathmandu, Nepal, after being on the run for several years.
Police found $250,000 in local and foreign currencies at Bomjan's residence during the arrest.
Accusations of abuse and misconduct against Bomjan stretch back more than a decade, with dozens of assault complaints filed against him in 2010.
Despite the allegations, Bomjan has maintained a following, with thousands of devotees visiting his camps in southern Nepal.
