Overview
- Flight 901 from Kathmandu skidded on landing at Bhadrapur around 9:08 pm local time and overshot the runway by about 200 metres.
- The aircraft came to a halt in a grassy area near a rivulet, and officials reported no injuries.
- All 51 passengers and four crew were evacuated, according to Tribhuvan airport spokesperson Rinji Sherpa and Jhapa Chief District Officer Shivaram Gelal.
- Buddha Air said the plane would be assessed on site after completing the final Kathmandu–Bhadrapur sector of the day.
- Local reports identified the pilot as Sailesh Limbu, and no cause for the overrun has been reported.
