Buckingham Palace Staffer Arrested After Christmas Party Incident

A housemaid was detained following allegations of assault and disorderly conduct at an informal gathering after a palace reception.

A 24-year-old woman, reportedly a Buckingham Palace housemaid, was arrested at a bar near the palace on December 10 for alleged assault, criminal damage, and disorderly conduct.
The incident occurred during an informal gathering of around 50 palace staff following an early evening reception at Buckingham Palace.
Witnesses reported the woman smashing glasses, attempting to assault the bar manager, and resisting security personnel before police intervened.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed she spent 24 hours in custody before being released with a penalty notice for disorder.
Buckingham Palace has launched an internal investigation and promised a thorough disciplinary process for those involved.
