Overview
- Rhino’s High Fidelity edition is out Sept. 19 with 180-gram pressings, lacquers cut by Kevin Gray, new David Fricke liner notes, and an optional 7-inch singles bundle featuring original mixes of four tracks.
- The album is officially available on streaming, CD and vinyl after decades out of print, when it circulated largely through bootlegs and collector copies.
- Recorded at Sound City with producer Keith Olsen, the record includes “Frozen Love,” the track Mick Fleetwood heard at the studio that led to recruiting Lindsey Buckingham with Stevie Nicks by the end of 1974.
- Several ideas resurfaced in Fleetwood Mac’s catalog, including a reworked version of “Crystal” and a guitar figure from “Lola (My Love)” that echoes in “The Chain.”
- Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham praised the reissue in statements, and Nicks has reaffirmed there will be no Fleetwood Mac reunion following Christine McVie’s 2022 death.
