Overview
- The Buccaneers said Jan. 9 that they completed a virtual interview with former Titans head coach Brian Callahan for their vacant offensive coordinator job.
- Josh Grizzard was dismissed earlier this week, and the eventual hire will be Tampa Bay’s fifth different offensive coordinator in as many years after one-season stints by Dave Canales, Liam Coen and Grizzard.
- Callahan previously coordinated Cincinnati’s offense from 2019 to 2023, helping guide a Super Bowl run with units that ranked top 10 in scoring in 2021 and 2022.
- He was fired by Tennessee six games into the 2025 season with a 4–19 record over two years, during which the Titans’ offense ranked near the bottom of the league, and he relinquished play-calling early in 2025.
- This is Callahan’s first publicly reported interview since his October exit from Tennessee, and the Bucs’ next OC would inherit Baker Mayfield and a core of skill players under contract for 2026.
