• BUAP confirmed Beatriz Gutiérrez Müller did not attend her scheduled interview, so she will not continue in the 2025–2029 rector selection.
• BUAP’s legal office reported that Rodolfo Zepeda Memije presented falsified documents for his registration and opened an internal investigation.
• Zepeda fainted during the session where he was notified he did not meet requirements, and authorities said the case could lead to a criminal complaint.
• After verification, only Lilia Cedillo, Ricardo Paredes and César Ricardo Cansino met the requirements to proceed, with other postulados rejected.
• Campaign presentations run from August 29 to September 8, voting is set for September 10, and results are slated for validation in mid-September.
