'Golden' Showcases Grown-Up Jung Kook as He Successfully Crosses Pop, R&B, and Retro Funk, and Breaks Record on Spotify for Fastest Song to Reach 1 Billion Streams

Jung Kook released his first solo single, 'Seven,' which was a collaboration with rapper Latto. The lyrics were explicit, marking a turn in his musical style since his earlier days with BTS.
His solo album, 'Golden,' is a combination of various music genres like pop, R&B, retro ‘70s funk, and crooning. These showcase a more mature Jung Kook who's not afraid to sing about adult themes.
'Golden' is the reflection of his journey, from his debut days when he was not confident, through his path of self-discovery, up until now when he takes pride in the nickname given by his BTS bandmate RM - 'Golden Maknae'.
While recording the album, Jung Kook discovered new aspects of his abilities as a solo artist and also areas where he can improve. Despite the album being challenging at times, Jung Kook found the experience satisfying.
