This release comes as Jimin prepares to begin his mandatory military service in South Korea, along with fellow BTS members Jungkook, V, and RM.
'Closer Than This' is Jimin's first official solo release since his debut solo album 'Face' earlier this year.
BTS is expected to return in 2025 after all members complete their military service.
