BTP Releases CCTV Image After Reported Sexual Assault at London Bridge Station

Detectives seek public leads in a wider CCTV appeal across the rail network.

Overview

  • The assault was reported just after midnight on Wednesday, 16 July 2025, when a man grabbed a woman by the neck before sexually assaulting her at London Bridge Underground station.
  • Investigators on 28 August released a CCTV image of a man they believe may have information that could assist the inquiry.
  • The man in the image has not been identified, and police have not announced any arrest in connection with the case.
  • Anyone who recognises the man is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 131 of 18 July, or to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
  • The appeal aligns with ongoing efforts to tackle offences on public transport, as TfL figures show reported sexual offences rose to 907 in the first half of 2025 from 879 a year earlier.
