BSEB Extends Class 11 Spot-Admission Window to August 11

The board ordered schools to record all spot admissions on the OFSS portal by August 12 so enrolments are validated and students remain eligible for exams.

Overview

  • The Bihar School Examination Board announced on Thursday that the spot-admission round for Intermediate (Class 11) will run from August 5 to August 11, 2026 and that institutions must complete OFSS uploads by August 12.
  • The spot-admission process will run through the Online Facilitation System for Students (OFSS) where faculty-wise vacant seats are posted and schools must update each admitted student’s enrolment after completing on-site formalities.
  • Eligible applicants include students from BSEB, CBSE, CISCE and other recognised boards plus those who missed earlier OFSS lists, and candidates must bring Class 10 mark sheet, transfer certificate, photo ID and any applicable caste or domicile documents to the school.
  • The board clarified that students who used the earlier 'slide-up' option but did not finish final admission had those places cancelled and must reapply through spot admission or face ineligibility for the Intermediate Annual Examination 2028.
  • Principals and headmasters must display vacant-seat information at least three places in their institutions and will be held responsible if they fail to update OFSS; minorities and SC/ST residential schools received separate instructions to complete online enrolment.
