- Maganti Gopinath died at 5:45 am on June 8 in a Hyderabad private hospital after being admitted on June 5 with a massive heart attack and ongoing kidney complications.

- Gopinath was first elected MLA of Jubilee Hills in 2014 on a TDP ticket and won re-election in 2018 and 2023 representing BRS.
