BRS MLA Maganti Gopinath Passes Away

  • Maganti Gopinath died at 5:45 am on June 8 in a Hyderabad private hospital after being admitted on June 5 with a massive heart attack and ongoing kidney complications.
  • The 63-year-old is survived by his wife Sunitha and three children, Maganti Vatyalyanadh, Akshara Naga and Dishira.
  • Gopinath was first elected MLA of Jubilee Hills in 2014 on a TDP ticket and won re-election in 2018 and 2023 representing BRS.
  • He served as president of the Greater Hyderabad BRS wing and previously led the TDP youth wing while also holding a directorship at the Hyderabad Urban Development Authority.
  • Leaders across parties, including Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, BRS chiefs K. Chandrashekhar Rao and K.T. Rama Rao, and TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu, offered condolences.
