Overview
- Led by T. Harish Rao, BRS legislators visited the under-construction TIMS facility at LB Nagar on Saturday and charged the Congress government with letting work languish for nearly two years.
- Rao alleged the administration is deliberately slowing four planned TIMS hospitals, the Warangal Health City and a NIMS expansion to deny credit to K. Chandrashekar Rao.
- He also claimed six months of unpaid salaries at Basti Dawakhanas, Rs 1,400 crore in pending Aarogyasri dues, and a halt to the Kanti Velugu eye-care programme.
- BRS leaders said medical colleges sanctioned for Maheshwaram and Quthbullapur were cancelled or merged into TIMS sites, leaving those areas without the planned hospitals.
- Congress whip Aadi Srinivas rejected the accusations, argued BRS had a decade to complete TIMS and other upgrades, cited new Osmania General Hospital plans, and questioned the timing before the Jubilee Hills bypoll.
