Browns Release DT Perrion Winfrey After Incident Involving Gun Threats

Winfrey was accused of threatening two women with a gun in a hotel lobby and was released by the Browns shortly after.
Police are investigating Winfrey's involvement in the incident but he has not been formally arrested or charged.
The Browns had previously disciplined Winfrey for maturity issues and he was arrested in April for a misdemeanor assault.
Winfrey was selected by the Browns in the 2022 NFL draft but only played 13 games in his rookie season.
With Winfrey gone, the Browns will rely on Dalvin Tomlinson and Jordan Elliott at defensive tackle.
