Browns' David Njoku and Dustin Hopkins Ruled Out for Chiefs Game

Tight end Njoku sidelined with a hamstring injury, while kicker Hopkins is benched following recent struggles.

  • Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku is inactive for today's game against the Kansas City Chiefs due to a hamstring injury.
  • Njoku, who leads the team with five touchdown receptions this season, had been listed as questionable but was unable to play after testing his injury during warmups.
  • Jordan Akins, who has 24 receptions for 243 yards this season, will step in as the starting tight end in Njoku's absence.
  • Kicker Dustin Hopkins has also been benched for the game after missing two field goals in last week's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, bringing his season total to an NFL-high nine missed attempts.
  • Riley Patterson, recently promoted from the practice squad, will handle kicking duties in place of Hopkins for Week 15.
