Browns Add Chargers DC Jesse Minter to In-Person Second Interviews in Coach Search

Cleveland accelerates its search with face-to-face follow-ups under the league's newly opened in-person window.

The Browns are arranging an in-person second interview with Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter for their head-coaching vacancy.
General manager Andrew Berry has also lined up second interviews with Jim Schwartz, Todd Monken, Mike McDaniel, Grant Udinski and Rams passing game coordinator Nate Scheelhaase.
Scheduled meetings include Schwartz on January 19, Monken on January 20 and McDaniel on January 21, with Scheelhaase requested and Minter set to meet in person.
Monday marks the first day teams can hold in-person interviews with coaches still under contract, prompting Cleveland’s busy slate.
Minter, who followed Jim Harbaugh from Michigan to the Chargers in 2024, has led defenses that ranked among the league’s best and reached the playoffs in both seasons.
