Brother of Parkland Shooter Arrested for Trespassing at Virginia Schools

Zachary Cruz, brother of Parkland shooter Nikolas Cruz, was arrested on February 4 for trespassing at three schools in Augusta County, Virginia.
Surveillance footage from January 25 showed Cruz attempting to open exterior doors and peering inside Wilson Middle School, Wilson Memorial High School, and the Valley Career and Technical Center.
Cruz was charged with three misdemeanor counts of trespassing and was released from custody on February 6, with a court hearing scheduled for May 1, 2025.
Local authorities have increased security measures and law enforcement presence around the schools to address community concerns about safety.
