Brooklyn Teen Arrested for Armed Theft of French Bulldog in Queens

The 16-year-old suspect, who discarded a loaded gun during his arrest, faces multiple charges and is due in court on January 9.

A 16-year-old boy from Brooklyn was arrested for stealing a French bulldog at gunpoint from a 15-year-old in Queens on Christmas morning.
The incident occurred in broad daylight around 9 a.m. near the Queensbridge North Houses in Long Island City.
The suspect was apprehended 15 minutes later by NYPD officers who witnessed him discard a 9 mm gun containing 12 rounds of ammunition.
The stolen dog was recovered and returned to its owner.
The teen faces multiple charges including five counts of criminal possession of a weapon, menacing, and petit larceny, and is due back in court on January 9.
