Brooklyn Nets' Ben Simmons and Cam Thomas Continue Recovery from Injuries

Ben Simmons, the Brooklyn Nets' point guard, will be out for at least another week due to a pinched nerve in his lower back. This is the third time he has experienced back problems in the three seasons since he joined the Nets.
Cam Thomas, the Nets' shooting guard and leading scorer, is recovering from an ankle injury that has caused him to miss the past five games. He has been cleared for increased on-court activity and is expected to rejoin team workouts next week.
Dennis Smith Jr., another guard for the Nets, has a confirmed lower back sprain and will be listed as day-to-day.
Simmons has begun light individual court work and his status will be updated again in seven to 10 days.
Thomas was averaging 26.9 points before his injury, and his return to the court is eagerly anticipated.
