Overview
- Jaime Huiracocha, 53, and Victor Murillo, 34, were arraigned in Queens Criminal Court on charges including insurance fraud, staging motor vehicle accidents, conspiracy, reckless endangerment and grand larceny.

- Prosecutors say dashcam footage from an October 2024 Belt Parkway collision was pivotal in identifying the scheme and its participants.
- The investigation was carried out jointly by the Queens District Attorney’s Office, NYPD and New York State Department of Financial Services.
- Both men were released under supervised conditions, face up to 15 years in prison if convicted and are due back in court in September.
