Bronx Teacher Injured by Bullet Fired Through Classroom Window

Incident occurred while the teacher was preparing the classroom; no students were present as school starts Thursday.

The teacher was struck in the hand by a bullet that entered the sixth-floor classroom.
The incident happened at Middle School 391 in the Bronx around noon.
The teacher was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police responded immediately, and the NYC Department of Education promised additional support.
No students were in the building at the time of the shooting.
