Overview
- Police say Kaseem Stukes, 44, fatally shot his mother Theresa, 75, his daughter Kianna, 26, and Kianna’s boyfriend Andrew Reynoso, 33, inside a Castle Hill Houses apartment before killing himself.
- Surveillance video shows Stukes stepping out around 8:15 a.m. to leave a voicemail telling his 20-year-old son to "Check on your family" before reentering and shooting himself, and officers were called about 9:45 a.m.
- The Bronx District Attorney’s Office was expected to announce it would no longer pursue gun and reckless endangerment charges stemming from a Sept. 14, 2024 incident, following a grand jury’s failure to indict and noncooperating witnesses.
- Stukes had prior convictions, including a 2003 drug case and a 2013 guilty plea after tossing a gun while fleeing police, and NYCHA records show he had been placed on the authority’s "Not Wanted" list.
- Neighbors described the victims as well known in the building, and Stukes’ sister said incarceration changed him, recalling he had worked driving ambulances but resisted mental health treatment years earlier.
