Bronx Man Fatally Shot Near Longwood Home as Police Search for Bicyclist Suspect

Detectives are pursuing leads on a cyclist in a hooded sweatshirt seen leaving the scene.

  • The victim was identified by police as Amaury Carrion, 46, who was shot early on Sept. 20.
  • The shooting occurred around 12:30 a.m. on the 900 block of Rev. James A. Polite Avenue in Longwood, a few doors from Carrion’s residence.
  • Officers from the 46th Precinct found Carrion with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso, and he was pronounced dead at Lincoln Hospital.
