Broncos Release Last Remaining Player from Super Bowl 50 Team, Kicker Brandon McManus

  • Brandon McManus, the Denver Broncos' kicker for the last nine seasons and final remaining player from their Super Bowl 50 championship team, was released by the team on Tuesday.
  • McManus played in 128 games for the Broncos, making 223 of 274 field goal attempts and 292 extra points, ranking second in franchise history in scoring.
  • The Broncos will save $3.75 million against the salary cap by releasing McManus but now need to find a new kicker.
  • McManus' numbers declined last season, as he made 28 of 36 field goals and 25 of 27 extra points over 17 games.
  • With McManus' release, no players remain from the Broncos team that defeated the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50.
