Broncos Coach Michael Wilhoite Charged with Assaulting Police Officer

The Denver linebackers coach allegedly punched an officer during an airport altercation and now faces a felony charge.

Michael Wilhoite, 38, was arrested on February 23 at Denver International Airport for allegedly assaulting a police officer.
The incident began when Wilhoite left his vehicle unattended in a drop-off lane, prompting a confrontation with the officer.
According to reports, Wilhoite verbally confronted the officer, chest-bumped him, and then punched him in the face after being pushed back.
The officer used a Taser on Wilhoite, who briefly drove away but was later arrested and booked on a second-degree assault charge.
Wilhoite, a former NFL player and Broncos assistant coach since 2023, posted bail and is scheduled to appear in court on March 10.
