• East Bridgewater police announced the new charges on Tuesday as the investigation expanded beyond the initial March arrest.
• Abidan Rivera, 43, now faces 17 counts of unlawful nude or partial-nude surveillance, two counts of posing or exhibiting a child in a state of nudity or sexual conduct, and two counts of possessing child pornography.
• Investigators say the images depict women and children who were nude and unaware they were being photographed.
• The Plymouth County Sheriff's Office High Tech Evidence Analysis Team conducted the forensic examination that uncovered the additional images.
• Rivera pleaded guilty in May to a related surveillance charge and remains incarcerated; he is a Level 2 sex offender with prior lewdness convictions.
