Broadway League President Charlotte St. Martin Announces Resignation

St. Martin, who led the League through the pandemic and other challenges, will continue to advise on special events through the 2024 Tony Awards.

Charlotte St. Martin, president of the Broadway League, has announced her unexpected resignation, effective February 16, 2024.
St. Martin has served as president of the Broadway League since 2006, playing a pivotal role in promoting Broadway, handling labor negotiations, and presenting the Tony Awards.
Under St. Martin's leadership, the Broadway League navigated through the pandemic, government relations, economic shifts, and labor challenges.
St. Martin will continue to serve in an advisory capacity for special events through the 2024 Tony Awards. Jason Laks, the League’s executive vice president and general counsel, will serve as acting president while the Board conducts an official search for her successor.
St. Martin's tenure saw the creation of numerous development, mentorship, and educational programs, and she played a key role in securing financial support for Broadway during the pandemic shutdown.
