Broadway Box Office Rises to $31.4 Million With Hamilton on Top as Ragtime Sells Out Previews

Official tallies place weekly grosses 19% above last year, with the season 9% ahead on higher attendance.

  • Hamilton led at $3,743,602 as Leslie Odom Jr. continues his return, and it posted the week’s highest average ticket price at $348.18.
  • Waiting for Godot starring Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter grossed about $1,865,970, with a $239.47 average ticket price.
  • Just In Time set a new high at $1,338,248 with a $235.81 average ticket; Gracie Lawrence’s run ended Oct. 5, and Sarah Hyland begins Oct. 8.
  • Ragtime sold out seven previews for $978,700, while the top five earners also included Wicked ($2,054,921), The Lion King ($1,936,448) and Art ($1,492,741).
