Overview

  • Following the Milwaukee trials, Bowe qualified for the 1,000m, 1,500m and team pursuit for Milano‑Cortina.
  • She has said these Games will be her last, with her 38th birthday falling two days after the closing ceremony.
  • A six‑time world champion and the women’s 1,000m world‑record holder, she owns Olympic bronzes from 2018 (team pursuit) and 2022 (1,000m).
  • Her leadership was on display at trials as she encouraged Greta Myers before a successful 1,500m re‑skate, echoing her 2022 decision to cede a 500m spot to Erin Jackson, who then won Olympic gold.
  • Bowe is in a relationship with U.S. hockey captain Hilary Knight, and she says attending a potential hockey gold‑medal game the night before her 1,500m remains undecided.
