Dionte Taylor, 25, has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident causing physical injury.
Bentley suffered a brain injury, broken pelvis, two broken legs, and other severe injuries, with a GoFundMe set up for her recovery raising over $21,000.
The incident occurred in The Grove district, a bustling area of St. Louis, and is not believed to be related to the nearby shooting that prompted Bentley to hide.
Bentley, a recent college graduate from Nottingham, England, had moved to St. Louis for an internship and was previously in a relationship with soccer star Indiana Vassilev.
